This Mountain Refuge is one of Scotland’s most memorable dining locations
Set in an exclusive location 2500’ high in the hills above Loch Rannoch and Loch Tummel with dramatic views towards Ben Nevis 50 miles to the west. The picnics are served from wicker baskets. This is a true and unforgettable wilderness picnic location and an ideal addition to your Highland Safari experience.
For small groups this unique venue has been selected because of its exclusive setting. Combine this with a variety of menu options which encompass some of Scotland’s finest foods, prepared by our award winning chef Eileen Malone and produce from our own Organic Farm Shop.
Because of the unique location of the Mountain Bothy, picnics here combine well with a Mountain Safari or Photo Stalking or the Mountain Bothy simply makes a truly memorable coffee stop.

- Locally baked Wheaten Roll stuffed with: Smoked Chicken, Organic Salad leaves and Garlic Mayonnaise

- Isle of Mull Cheddar with Rannoch Apple Ale and Chilli Chutney

The Lairds Safari Picnic
- Freshly made Soup of the Day
- Scottish Cheese Board Strathdon Blue, Isle of Mull Cheddar, Clava Organic Brie, Gruth Dhu.
- Oat cakes. Local chutney.
- Locally Smoked Meat Platter: Smoked Venison, Smoked Duck, Smoked Ham, Smoked Chicken Served with locally Baked organic bread and Scottish butter
